Were's Best to go for Personal Injury Advice?

Where's the best place to go for personal injury advice? Its a good question which many accident victims will find themselves wondering at some point.

There is a common conception that most personal injury solicitors will be straight in to your wallet, but in fact many will now offer a free no-obligation assessment.

Look at it this way...if your case won't win you compensation, a solicitor won't take it on, so its in their interests to find out the full details of your case before they take you on as a client.

Its a great thing to take advantage of. Even if you have no idea if your accident wasn't your fault you can call up a professional team of solicitors and find out for free.

So this is our number one suggestion...find a personal injury solicitor that will offer a free no-obligation assessment and ring them for personal injury advice.

Good luck!

How much money can you claim for a personal injury?

If you have been the victim of a personal injury or accident you may be able to claim two types of compensation. These are general damages and special damages.

General damages are paid as compensation for an injury or accident. For example, you may receive a payment for pain and suffering or loss of future earnings. It is up to the court to decide how much money you will receive, but more often than not, specialist personal injury solicitors will be able to make accurate estimates.

Special damages are paid as compensation for actual financial loss caused directly by the accident up to the date of the hearing. These can include damage to clothing or other belongings, the costs of medical care, travel costs to hospital, medical expenses (including the cost of private treatment) and the cost of hiring and/or repairing a car or vehicle if it has been damaged in the accident.

If a court decides that you were partly to blame for the accident you were involved in, it may reduce the amount of damages you get. An example of this would be if you were involved in an accident but you weren't wearing your seatbelt.

Personal Injury Claims

Personal injury claims are becoming more and more popular as solicitors offer most of their clients free no-obligation assessments and often are willing to represent them on a no-win-no-fee basis.

If you have recently been injured and you don't feel that it was your fault then making a personal injury claim can help to cover any costs that you may have incurred. For example you may have had to take time off work and therefore lost wages, or you may have had to pay medical costs.

These things and more can be covered by compensation when you make a personal injury claim.
